Being able to deliver effective presentations is an absolute must for comms professionals, especially when presenting campaigns or pitching ideas. This interactive full-day course is aimed at people who are new to making presentations or who want to improve their public speaking skills.

How will I benefit?

Working on a presentation you bring with you, you'll learn tricks and techniques to make you feel more comfortable and confident when presenting.

You'll learn how to construct a presentation so that it engages the audience from start to finish, how to use the three Vs (verbal, vocal and visual communication) to make your delivery more commanding, and how to deal with nerves. You'll get the opportunity to try new techniques in a safe environment and you'll receive lots of constructive feedback from the trainer and other delegates.

With a background that covers over 20 years in the PR industry married with extensive experience in the performing arts, your trainer can give you practical insights into presenting that you can't get anywhere else

In-house comms professionals who have not had presentation training before or those wanting to improve their presentation skills.

What else do I need to know?

You'll need to bring with you a 5-10 minute presentation, ideally business related. You'll work on the content during the morning, and have the chance to fine-tune and enhance it. During the afternoon, you'll deliver your presentation to the group and receive feedback from the trainer and other delegates. Please note; this course is for those new to presenting. More experienced presenters might want to consider Advanced Presentation Skills for In-House Comms Professionals.
